Welcome to DONATE A CAR, a website of unique difference! This is a portal for you to donate your car, motorbike, bus, boat, truck, trailer, jet ski or even artwork to generate funds for charity. DONATE A CAR rids you of the dramas associated with disposing of these items yourself and even more importantly, generates funds for your favourite charity as they receive the net proceeds of the sale. No charity of choice…no worries! Choose one of ours: Surf Life Saving Foundation, Kids Under Cover, Rainforest Rescue, Keep Australia Beautiful or the Down Syndrome Association of Queensland!

Once you have considered the option to donate your item you can simply complete the DONATION FORM and submit it electronically or print it out and mail it back, which ever is easier for you. Once we receive the form we forward this information to Pickles Auctions in your state and they will make contact with you generally within seven to ten working days to discuss collection.

It can take up to 30 days from you submitting the form notifying us of your donation to the actual collection of the vehicle; this can be accelerated in some instances if the matter is urgent. The tow company will ring and book in a time that suits all parties, but if you are not available to take the call this will extend the timeline for collection so a mobile number and email are recommended to be included on the form for all donations.

We currently use Pickles Auctions to dispose of donated items including land and water vehicles which are in good condition and running order. Our goal is to secure the best possible price for your donation and pass this to the charity. We are unable to guarantee a price for any item as they are subject to market value at the time, economic conditions and supply and demand. Simply, the market dictates the end result. In some cases the land or water vehicle may only have wrecking value. In this instance, we may choose to tow it to a local wrecker if the return covers towing cost, if not we may decline the offer. We do not use or pass your personal details to any other person or organisation other than Pickles and your nominated charity.

DONATE A CAR reserves the right to decline an offer without explanation and the right to select the appropriate means of disposal, ensuring the best possible price is obtained. It is important that no item you wish to donate is encumbered in any way (owing money) and that the item is legally yours to donate. There are five easy steps to DONATE A CAR:

Step 1

Complete the DONATION FORM which provides us with all the information we need to progress your gift.

Step 2

We will respond within seven working days to discuss what options we have available to us and potentially organise a collection day and time suitable to you.

Step 3

When the carrier collects your vehicle, he/she may provide you with collection confirmation.

Step 4

The donated item will be delivered to the auction house for assessment along with the appropriate documentation to enable the vehicle to be disposed of.

Step 5

In due course, which may be 28 days from disposal, your nominated charity will issue you with a receipt.
